EMILY LANE

Great culinary experiences are a passion of mine.  I've enjoyed 7 course wine pairing dinners, tasting a carrot freshly pulled from the ground, and everything in between.  Wherever your food passion lies I like to meet you there to create great culinary experiences.

I grew up on my family's farm in Georgia.  So my passion for fresh local food came naturally.  Collecting eggs, feeding the chickens, harvesting  fresh veggies and fruits from the garden were part of my daily life, but my love was to get in the kitchen and make meals for my family.  I was able to share this love in our community as I tried new recipes, took them to parties, and received rave reviews.

It was only a natural progression for me in 2001 to head to Charleston, SC and go to Johnson and Wales University and receive my degrees in the culinary arts field of study.  While in school I worked in the local restaurants and cultivated my culinary skills.  I continued to learn as I headed to Basalt, CO (just outside of Aspen) to study under a chef there.  I returned to the Lowcountry in 2004 to run a golf club kitchen and to teach cooking classes.

In June 2012, I  ventured out on my own to create "in home" experiences as a personal chef.  I now enjoy making food for private dinner parties and social gatherings; teaching cooking classes; and working in rentals home for vacationers and golf enthusiasts.

I look forward to cooking for you soon.
